We undertook a project in the Holyrood area, involving a building comprised of 28 flats.
This project received the quickest approval ever, with a decision made in just 4 weeks, for which we owe our thanks to Angus!
Our initial task was to carry out a comprehensive survey of the building's roof, identifying areas in urgent need of repair or maintenance.
**The primary tasks involved in the project included:**
- Erection of scaffolding: This was crucial to ensure safe and efficient access to the rooftop and other high levels of the building.
- Chimney rendering: We worked on two chimneys, which required rendering to enhance their appearance and functionality.
- Slate work: The roof, composed largely of slate, required significant maintenance and repair work.
- Gutter cleaning: To ensure proper drainage and prevent water damage, gutter cleaning was an important aspect of the project.
- Cupola Repair: The building's cupola required some repair work to restore its structural integrity and aesthetics.
- Boiler flue pipe flashing repair: The flashing around the boiler's flue pipe had experienced some wear and tear, demanding immediate attention and repair.
- Raising the gutter: To improve rainwater flow and prevent water pooling, we raised the guttering in some areas.
Our team worked diligently and efficiently to complete the necessary tasks, ensuring the building was safe, functional, and visually appealing.
