There were leaks in the vestibule of the property. We removed the old roof tiles, installed breathable roofshield membrane, leveled the gutter, and repaired the leaking joints. We also painted the inside and outside of the gutter for aesthetics reasons and to prolong its lifespan. We installed new CUPA 3 heavy slates, quarried in Spain but especially suitable for Scottish weather conditions. We also performed minor repairs to loose pointing where it had fallen onto the roof. We removed the loose pointing and applied new lime mortar, using rope access techniques in addition to the scaffolding that provided the main access to the work space.
